Position Description

We're seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our team and provide high-quality care in a workplace setting. This role focuses on emergency care, first aid, and the treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses within established standing orders.

Locations: Lancing, MI

  • This role supports two plants located within five minutes of each other. You’ll primarily be based at the “home” plant (4 days/week) and expected to work at the second plant 1 day/week.

Schedule Details:

  • Days: Monday–Friday
  • Hours: 8-hour shifts scheduled between 5:30 AM and 5:30 PM
  • Flexibility: Shift times vary to ensure coverage across all plant shifts; no fixed daily or weekly schedule, other than being 8 hours per weekday

Role Overview:

  • Clinical Occupational Medicine: Perform medical assessments, injury evaluations, and fitness-for-duty exams to support employee health and workplace safety.
  • Disability & Workers' Compensation Management: Collaborate with HR and Safety teams to oversee disability claims, workers' compensation cases, and return-to-work planning.
  • Corporate Health Initiatives: Support company-wide medical programs, including preventive health strategies and employee wellness initiatives.
  • Business Integration: Align occupational health practices with business objectives, providing strategic medical guidance.
  • Emergency Response Oversight: Lead and coordinate the site’s emergency medical response program, ensuring preparedness and regulatory compliance.
  • Wellness & Well-being Promotion: Advocate for and implement wellness programs that enhance employee health, engagement, and productivity.

Required Qualifications

  • Active NP and RN Michigan licenses that are in good standing.
  • 3-5 years of healthcare experience.
  • Prior occupational health, ER, ICU, Family Medicine, Primary Care, or Urgent Care experience is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
